Welcome to Extensions.Frieger.com
This site contains a searchable database of thousands of file extensions, with information about the most common Windows applications used to open them.
If you come across a file with an unknown file extension, you can look up the file association using this database using the search box in the top-right corner of each page.
In addition, you may install Open With (Enhanced) program. This small application replaces the standard Windows 'OpenWith...' dialog and automatically suggests you the most popular programs used to open this kind of file. Also, it lets you to change or remove file association (especially useful on Windows Vista and Windows 7 platforms, where such option was removed from the user interface) and clean the 'Open With...' menu from unneeded applications.
Currently there are 6079 extensions associated with 10002 applications in the database
A few reviews of OpenWith Enhanced:
It's very helpful if you aren't sure what programs will open the file you have chosen. OpenWith Enhanced gets program suggestions from other users. It will display the best options for you, so you don't have to waste time guessing.

OpenWith Enhanced comes in an unobtrusive and convenient package - it simply replaces the standard Windows 'OpenWith...' dialog and automatically suggests you the most popular programs used to open that unknown kind of file.
Whether Windows isn't sure how to open a specific file, or you'd rather just use a different program than the default, you probably have to deal with Windows' Open With menu from time to time. OpenWith Enhanced replaces this basic tool with one that tells you which programs are the best options, lets you remove associations, and even change icons for specific file types.
